How this site makes money, and how it is written.

Advertising

Wavienne plans to carry display advertising. Advertisers have no say in what is written, which guides are published, or which verdict a guide reaches. Ads are labelled by the ad network and are separate from editorial content.

Affiliate links

Where an affiliate link appears, it is marked and it costs you nothing extra. No guide here is written to sell a product, and no salon, stylist or brand pays for inclusion. Descriptions of cuts are generic on purpose — a chin-length bob is a shape, not a shopping list.

How the content is produced

Corinne Ashcombe uses AI tools for research and first drafts, then rewrites and edits by hand before publishing. The photography on this site is AI-generated illustration, not documentary photography of real people, and is used to show shape, weight and proportion. Nobody pictured here is a real client, and no image is a before-and-after.

Sources, and the line this site will not cross

Checkable claims are written against published sources, listed at the foot of the guide that relies on them. Colour and chemical processes are covered only as questions to ask a professional, never as instructions. Hair loss, scalp conditions and regrowth are medical subjects and are not covered here at all — if that is what you are looking for, a doctor or trichologist is the right place to take it.
